1881 Extra Brut
Information
The original Extra Brut Premier Cru
Assemblage
Composed of a balanced blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 30% Pinot Meunier, this champagne is based on the same foundation as our Brut Carte d'Or, but with a reduced dosage to less than 6 g/l of sugar, characteristic of Extra Brut champagnes. This low sugar content allows the freshness and aromatic complexity of the three Champagne grape varieties to be fully expressed.
Vinification
The 1881 Extra Brut is an emblematic cuvée of Maison Guy DUMANGIN, a tribute to our family history. This champagne takes its name from the year 1881, marking our transition from grape growers to winemakers, although our roots date back to 1650.
Degustation
Its fruity and full-bodied aromas make it a champagne that is both refined and accessible, perfect for an aperitif. With its pure character and liveliness on the palate, the 1881 Extra Brut is a champagne for all occasions, ideal for those seeking an authentic and balanced tasting experience.
