A family heritage passed down since the 19th century

The Guy DUMANGIN House is the result of a long family tradition that dates back to the 19th century. At that time, the DUMANGIN family was already cultivating vines on Champagne lands, though they had not yet mastered the art of winemaking. It was in 1881 that the family became winemakers, marking the beginning of a new adventure in champagne production.

Today, five generations of winemakers have succeeded one another, perpetuating a unique expertise forged by passion and respect for Champagne traditions. Each generation has contributed its knowledge while preserving the founding values of our house. With over a century of expertise, we continue to write our story with the same devotion, combining tradition and innovation.

Our Values

Commitment to authenticity and excellence

Since our beginnings, our commitment has been based on passion, authenticity, and excellence. Each generation of the DUMANGIN family has respected and preserved the Champagne heritage while evolving practices to meet the demands of an audience seeking refined and unique champagnes.

We deeply believe in the value of French elegance, which we cultivate in each of our cuvées. Our champagnes reflect our commitment to creating exceptional wines, where each step is carefully mastered, from the vine to the bottle. Our mission is to celebrate each unique moment of life with authentic and refined champagnes.

The Creation Process

From vine to bottle

The quality of our champagnes begins with the care we give to our vines. Located in Chigny-les-Roses, on the prestigious slopes of the Montagne de Reims, our vineyard is predominantly classified as Premier Cru, a designation that guarantees the excellence of our grapes.

Each season, our vines are cultivated in respect of Champagne traditions, with particular attention to each step: pruning, tying, debudding, and trellising. This meticulous work prepares the vines for harvest, which marks the beginning of the grape-picking season in September.

Once the grapes are carefully pressed, the winemaking process begins, which is the true heart of our profession. After a first alcoholic fermentation, the wine is aged in tanks for several months before being bottled for the "prise de mousse," the second fermentation that creates the fine bubbles of champagne.

Our champagnes are then aged in our cellars for several years, allowing each cuvée to develop complex and refined aromas. This patience and precision are essential to offer balanced and flavorful champagnes, ready to be enjoyed at their peak maturity.

The Guy DUMANGIN family today

A close-knit family at the heart of the Champagne heritage

At Champagne Guy DUMANGIN, family is at the center of everything. Since 1992, Pascal, a passionate winemaker, has dedicated his expertise to creating exceptional champagnes.

Today, he is supported by his eldest son, Antoine, who is preparing to take over the family heritage, thus perpetuating a tradition of several generations.

By his side, Marie-Christine, his wife and mother of their three children, oversees the commercial management, logistics, and communication of the company, ensuring daily operations with attention to detail and great rigor.

Although each follows their own path, their children contribute their valuable input to the evolution of the house. Lou-Anne, who is completing her business studies in Toulouse, shares her modern perspective and high standards to guide the company toward new horizons.

Pierre, their youngest, works in cybersecurity but brings creativity and freshness to the company.

Together, they form a close-knit and united family, where each personality and talent contributes to the growth of their house and the evolution of their brand. They are proud to work hand in hand, united by the same passion for champagne.

The Evolution of Our Brand Image

TRADITION AND MODERNITY

While deeply rooted in tradition, we have always been able to evolve with the times. In 2023, we undertook the modernization of our image with the redesign of our logo. This project represents much more than a simple visual change; it reflects our desire to create a harmonious synergy in our range of champagnes while staying true to our family roots.

This renewal does not stop there. In collaboration with our three children, we also decided to revisit all our labels to offer our cuvées a more modern, elegant visual identity in line with the spirit of our house. This family project symbolizes our desire to evolve our brand while preserving the values that are dear to us.

We are proud of this family adventure and hope that our clients and partners will appreciate this new chapter in the history of Champagne Guy DUMANGIN as much as we do.
